First of all very much thanks for the great care and advice before, during and after our vacation!
We were in September with our two dogs Yara and Kringel in the Villa Imola in Cortona.
A dream!
Received were very cordially by Daniele, the son of the homeowner.
Signora Imola later greeted us with a homemade, typical Tuscan crostata.
A few days later she surprised us with homemade pizza. Delicious!
The family is incredibly dog-friendly and our snoops were allowed on the big.
The fenced property romp around and move freely and guard house and yard.
Ms. Imola lives on the ground floor of the house, but mostly works during the day at her son's bar in Cortona.
An incredibly nice, warmhearted woman, never intrusive or curious.
We felt very well and despite language problems (unfortunately we hardly speak Italian)
laughed heartily with her.
The villa is very spacious, very clean and fully equipped.
From dishes, pots, pans, washing machine, iron, warm blankets for cool nights, coffee maker, espresso maker, towels ... everything was ready.
I only bought one pot for coffee. The Italians love espresso and accordingly small were the cups ;-)
We did not need the air conditioning.
The beds are clean and have very firm mattresses.
There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with shower and bidet.
Great is the covered terrace with giant table where you can sit wonderfully in the evening and looks
directly into the sunset.
The pool was amazing. I have rarely seen such a clean pool.
He was cleaned every morning and allowed to let the dogs into the pool.
Unfortunately they did not because they do not like chlorine.
For that they have splattered in the nearby (20 minutes by car) Lago di Trasimeno.
If you have dogs, you can walk directly from the house on dirt roads, past wine hills.
We have discovered in the vicinity of two large supermarkets where you can buy everything,
what you`s Cooking or having breakfast required. Food is wonderful in Cortona.
The food there in the restaurants or bars is fantastic. Cortona is about 10 minutes away by car on a mountain and surprised me. An unbelievably beautiful old town! It is also worth mentioning that there is a large
outlet center (15 minutes away by car).
I would always vacation again at the Imolas!
