Il Paradiso

An old farm house (80 sqm) which was restored and fully-developed into a beautiful house outside of the village Elmo di Sorano with a wide view on the Maremma in the foothills of Mount Amiata.

The old house has been lovingly renovated and furnished, it has a lot of Tuscan character.

Through a wooden door you enter through a small fireplace-room into the living room, with a stovr, a cozy divano and a long dining table which is perfect for enjoying Tuscan food.

The homeowner has restored and furnished many Tuscan country houses, creating lovely connections between the Tuscan tradition and modern living needs.

On the first floor is another living room with wood stove, a cozy reading chair, a sofa, a bedroom and on the second floor another one furnished in the classic Tuscan country style, the bathroom is on the ground floor.

In front of the house a wonderful terrace to eat with great views on the Tuscan countryside, a stone fireplace where you can enjoy a barbecue.

Three steps below is the garden (approx. 200 sqm) with lounge chairs for sunbathing, a small circular pool (4.6 m diameter), which is shared with two neighboring houses.

There is also a laundry room together, with washing machine and iron.

In Elmo you will a small village shop (convenience), where you can buy fresh bread, baguette, bread and milk, sausage, cheese and more every morning.

A bar, the meeting place in the village and a post office.

Elmo is located near the beautiful Etruscan strongholds Sorano (7 miles), Pitigliano (10 km) and Sovana.

Many archaeological sites, caves and ravines invite to excursions and hikes through history. A small river bathing possibilty at Fiora, a clean river from the mountains can be reached in a quarter of an hour, the Lago di Bolsena in half an hour (30 km), as well as the hot sulfur springs of Saturnia in the mountains, the sea in about an hour away (50 km to Monte Argentario).
